Update for 2020

I will try to get pictures posted of quilts I have made this year and of quilts I have finished from previous years.

This is Heart Affluter, a bom from several years ago.  I made mine reversible.  The pink side has machine embroidery (by embroidery machine)  and the blue side has applique (machine applique, regular sewing machine).  I made reversible binding too.  The blocks are made qayg.  They were done.  I needed to put it all together.  I am happy to have it finished.  I put borders on it to make it larger.   
 

This quilt pattern was from a magazine several years ago.  I made the blocks and put it aside.  Now it is finished in 2020.  

This is a flannel chenille crib quilt.  Made in 2020 for a newborn.

This is the back of the black and red quilt I made in 2020 for a birthday gift for a teen.  

I made this scrap quilt in Sept for a birthday boy.  

This quilt is one I started about 15 years ago.  It was a class at the local quilt store.  How to use vintage linens in a quilt.    I have some hand quilting and some machine quilting in it.  

Embroicery Machine basket blocks and 4 patches (scraps) to complete this ufo.  

Lifes A Hoot bom from years ago.  I had about half of the appliques done before putting it aside.  It was a puzzle to pick up and get the rest of it appliqued.  

A sew along a few years ago online.  I liked the sew along and the pattern so well that I made 3 quilt tops at the same time in different color ways.  I sandwiched and quilting this one this year to give to a relative that loves grey and yellow. Below is the back. Birds.  

This is Tipsy Triangles, a new pattern I purchased in 2020.  I was fun to make.  

This is the back of a quilt along in 2017 by Molli Sparkles.  This was a fun one.  Blocks offered by different bloggers.    I finally started pinning up the blocks and putting them together sort of improv style to get them to fit into a quilt top.  The finishing design was up to the maker of the blocks.  

This is the back and front of a little quilt for a newborn.  

This quilt, more of a comforter, is made out of double gauze fabric.  Well , I see I don't have a full picture of one side.  Blogger has changed things and it is very difficult for me to post now.  Especially since I haven't posted all year!

This is the back.  It is very lightweight and snuggly.  It's about 50x50.  For a young child.  He loves it.  It has quilters Dream batting in it.

This is the RSC challenge from 2019?   The Acedemic Quilter gave the block patterns.  I had a challenge trying to arrange them so I settled on putting them together like this.  Although I really like her on point way of doing it.  I got too frustrated with my design wall being too small.  I still need to sandwich and quilt it so it isn't finished.  I got frustrated with piecing the backing.  

This is a qayg method of making 9 patches from  the scrap collections.  The blocks are 12" so the quilt is 48x60.  I intend to post it on Persimon Dreams website for her 9 patch challenge.  I gave the quilt to my daughter who loves it.  She uses it as a beadspread and put some matching colors flower stickers on the wall.  Not exactly stickers, but those things that people put on the wall.  Whatever they are called.  

This one is a lap quilt for a young Batman fan. Made this year.  

This quilt top was made from large squares of old sheets so I put old sheets on the back and (batting inside) and got it quilted this year.  

Another quilt top that I got sandwiched and quilted.  I found some peacock feathers fabric to use on back because some of the front blocks have feathers in them.  I gave it to a relative that loves peacock feathers.  LOL.    

Here is a back and front of a quilt I made in 2020 , special for someone.  It was a surprise for them to replace one that they lost 12 years ago and have been sad about it ever since.  I still had scraps left from the first quilt and that made it extra special.  The first quilt had frogs on back also but There wasn't enough left of the original fabrics to make the entire back.  The blocks are 3" finished.  The quilt is 60x60".  Maybe I will enter it into the Persimon scrap challenge also.
